Our Team

Dr. Yu is specialized in custom-fit ortho-K lenses, an area she has been working in for 20 years. She has successfully designed lenses to correct high prescription myopia (-10D and above) as well as high astigmatism. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. The results of Dr. Yu's ortho-K lenses are guaranteed to help patients achieve the best possible vision. She is also experienced in specialty lens fitting for people with presbyopia and keratoconus.

In addition to being a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, Dr. Yu is also a long-standing member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the British Columbia Doctors of Optometry. 

Dr. Yu has also been granted advanced accreditation: IACMM, International Academy Certification in Myopia Management. This designation is offered by the International Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control to doctors who can demonstrate a high level of expertise in myopia management and orthokeratology and provide the best possible care to their patients.

 Dr. Yu loves to devote her spare time to traditional Chinese watercolor painting and calligraphy. She also enjoys running. She has consistently participated in the Vancouver Sun run for the last 8 years. On her days off, she enjoys hiking up the Grouse Grind. Dr. Yu speaks fluent Mandarin and some Cantonese. She loves the multicultural environment of the Vancouver area and is happy to serve people of all origins.
